The Quote Of The Day

""I have to tell you, he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States." – John McCain on Obama

About tedwest

A longtime veteran of comedy and political forums, I decided that I needed a more restful venue because... well... I finally hate everybody. Except my wife that is... and my ex-wife.. and... no, that's about it. I lead about as simple a life as one can, preferring activities that include anything that doesn't involve going out and seeing YOU! And I particularly enjoy what I call "Get the Bitch" movies on Lifetime. You know the ones where the intended victim finally does something so incredibly stupid that she forfeits her right to live, and from that moment on you're rooting for the stalker. Of course, it rarely works out the way you want, but when it does, the feeling you get is... well, there's nothing else like it, other than, maybe, eating chocolate chip cookies. Oh, and I'm proudly anti-wildlife, both foreign and domestic, and anti-environment - especially foreign environments. I think Howard Stern put it best when he said, "If fifty percent of the population died tomorrow, I can live with that." And I feel the same about the other fifty percent, so together, we've pretty much got it all covered.

  1. Well I'm so scared I just peed my pants. If you liked Jimmy Carter, you're gonna love Obama.

  2. Catalina says:

If Obama is like Carter…Jesus, I just lost my job!

  3. Schomer says:

What???? McCain said that? I think he had a stroke before the debate. It's obvious now.

  4. Scio, Scio says:

You know, I don't swear. But goddamnit.I'm still going to the rally on Monday.

  5. JudgeBob says:

I'm still holding my nose like momma McCain said. I'm going to vote because I've got my eye on the ball. It ain't about McCain, it is about who will do the least amount of damage.

  6. Lexann says:

JB, just what I was thinking.I could almost like McCain, if it weren't for comments like this. He's trying too hard to be unifying and partisan. I don't know why. His opponent is not.

  7. JudgeBob says:

I just went through a huge argument with Chumblor about moving the moral standard. He apologized to me privately but I have challenged him to consider what his redefinition of extreme means or does to others. Lit my fires. It was a slander and I started deleting every comment he made until he took me seriously. If extreme is the opposite of normal then the standard is liquid and moves with mainstream views. If extreme is the opposite of good, beneficial, then it means what is harmful and damaging. He was calling my comments and views extreme.

  8. TedWest says:

Obama thanked McCain today for his comments and for McCain's attempts to quel the anger in his supporters.
That got me infuriated. Like Joe Farah, I refuse to say McCain's gonna lose for the reasons Farah states, but McCain sure deserves to lose.
If your opponent is thanking you, you're doing something wrong.

  9. Lexann says:

Obama thanked McCain today for his comments and for McCain's attempts to quel the anger in his supporters.Puke.Farah's right!

  10. Let the right people be angry enough to show up enemas and vote.

  11. Lexann says:

But will it be enough to outnumber the 1000s of ACORN fraud votes?

  12. JudgeBob says:

What was the count they are suspecting of ACORN's registrants? I know it was 85% they guessed were worthless.
