-THIS- Is Why He Chose Biden?

By now, we all know what happens when Bobo Obo is denied access to a teleprompter, the stuttering, the fumbling for words, the verbal gaffes. And putting lipstick on his lips sure won't help - although I'd pay to see that!.

Anyway, it looks like he thinks he's found a solution!

Remember we were told that Barama selected Joey Plugs to be his Vice Presidential running mate in order to bring experience to the ticket? Experience Obama sorely lacked?

Well, Barry is nothing if not a quick learner…

The problem is the nature of the experience he's learning from.

See, there's an unsubstantiated allegation that Joe Biden is skilled in international affairs, and that he could provide advice and a backbone to the jelly-spined junior Senator.

But Biden also has other, extremely well-documented experience that no one disputes… as a plagiarist! It forced him to drop out of the Presidential race in 1988.

Well, it seems that all the fuss about Bobo's lipstick line, did he insult Palin or didn't he… is much ado about a cosmetic issue. The real issue is what preceded the lipstick reference that shall live in infamy.

Here's what Obama said if you haven't already heard*:

Let let let's just list this for a second. John McCain says he's about change too. Exce- and and so I guess his whole angle is –

Watch out, George Bush – except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl-Rove-style politics, we're really gonna shake things up in Washington. .

So what's the big deal?

Just that a cartoonist by the name of Tom Toles said essentially the same thing a few days earlier…

Watch out, Mr. Bush! With the EXCEPTION of economic policy and energy policy and social issues and tax policy and foreign policy and supreme court appointments and Rove-style politics, we're coming in there to shake things up.

The Free Republic points out that "The key to realizing the plagiarism, and to realizing that the entire riff was pre-scripted, is that Obama begins to tell the joke wrong.

WorldNetDaily says, "Obama's campaign did not immediately return a WND call seeking comment." No doubt because they're waiting for another cartoon that addresses the matter (rimshot).

About tedwest

A longtime veteran of comedy and political forums, I decided that I needed a more restful venue because... well... I finally hate everybody. Except my wife that is... and my ex-wife.. and... no, that's about it. I lead about as simple a life as one can, preferring activities that include anything that doesn't involve going out and seeing YOU! And I particularly enjoy what I call "Get the Bitch" movies on Lifetime. You know the ones where the intended victim finally does something so incredibly stupid that she forfeits her right to live, and from that moment on you're rooting for the stalker. Of course, it rarely works out the way you want, but when it does, the feeling you get is... well, there's nothing else like it, other than, maybe, eating chocolate chip cookies. Oh, and I'm proudly anti-wildlife, both foreign and domestic, and anti-environment - especially foreign environments. I think Howard Stern put it best when he said, "If fifty percent of the population died tomorrow, I can live with that." And I feel the same about the other fifty percent, so together, we've pretty much got it all covered.

When will the media begin to point out screw-ups, lies, distortion, stolen words by its own poster boy?

Geez, Ted. Does this guy have an original idea of his own in his entire "thinking" lexicon? Um….NO!

Jordon, Let's see…how about never. Most of these guys think that proctology is some kind of contact sport.

I caught a glimpse of Sen. McCain on the "View" yesterday, a program I do not watch (along with Oprah and any other day talk show) as I am not interested in gossip sessions by four idiotic liberals women and a republican token one.As I caught that their questioning of the host I asked myself WHY would McCain subject himself t that type of audience that clearly is pro-Obama and anti-conservative.A little bit ago, I read an article titled, "Why McCain is going so negative, so often." Needless to say, the whole article ripped MCain to shred, accusing him to run a dirty campain against his opponent, fabricating lies because he has nothing to say on the economy, the war, etc. This is not atypical. Makes me sick everytime I read "reporting" of the facts. In case someone feels the need to see for themselves. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080913/pl_politico/13412

I hadn't seen the story you've referenced, but when you see words like "saintly" and "breathtaking," any claim the writer might make for objectivity is a lie, and suddenly, he becomes all that he's accusing McCain of being.
Googling Jonathan Martin leads to his blog in which he's fairly straight, but seemingly rather obsessed with McCain-Palin (not exactly a bad thing because it indicates that others are as well), and while the overall tone isn't nasty, there's a feeling that if he had to choose (and lucky us that journalists don't) he'd choose Obama.
Although, I don't see where he claims to be a journalist, either.
