Elevator Going Down

On the heels of Barack Obama's gaffe of using the lipstick reference, and Joe Biden saying that Hillary might be the better VP candidate comes the shocking statement by the South Carolina Democratic chairwoman, Carol Fowler, who claims McCain picked a woman "whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn't had an abortion."

She's since offered another patented Democrat tepid apology, not unlike the one her husband offered recently…

"I personally admire and respect the difficult choices that women make everyday, and I apologize to anyone who finds my comment offensive. I clumsily was making a point about people in South Carolina who may vote based on a single issue. Whether it’s the environment, the economy, the war or a woman’s right to choose, there are people who will cast their vote based on a single issue. That was the only point I was attempting to make."

"Anyone who finds my comment offensive." Wouldn't that be everyone but Ms. Fowler?

About tedwest

A longtime veteran of comedy and political forums, I decided that I needed a more restful venue because... well... I finally hate everybody. Except my wife that is... and my ex-wife.. and... no, that's about it. I lead about as simple a life as one can, preferring activities that include anything that doesn't involve going out and seeing YOU! And I particularly enjoy what I call "Get the Bitch" movies on Lifetime. You know the ones where the intended victim finally does something so incredibly stupid that she forfeits her right to live, and from that moment on you're rooting for the stalker. Of course, it rarely works out the way you want, but when it does, the feeling you get is... well, there's nothing else like it, other than, maybe, eating chocolate chip cookies. Oh, and I'm proudly anti-wildlife, both foreign and domestic, and anti-environment - especially foreign environments. I think Howard Stern put it best when he said, "If fifty percent of the population died tomorrow, I can live with that." And I feel the same about the other fifty percent, so together, we've pretty much got it all covered.

Hearing Joe Biden affirm that Hillary would have been a better pick I wondered whether they thought self-deprecating was the anti-strategy to move people to their side. For once he is right! Picking him for VP and pushing Obama for President was a stratical error with huge repercussions. Albeit, that doesn't bother me, the least, as I am not on the side that will probably lose the election for the 3rd time in a row. This time around, it'll make the hissy-fit liberals had in 2000 look insignificant.

was a stratical error, should have read strategical.

A columnist in Philadelphia warned us of race riots. Amazing.
Sorry VOX won't permit corrections, as I appreciate your concern about typos, since I sure make my share of them.

No doubt if Obama loses, which is looking more and more likely, there will be uproar. The left will manufacture another "stolen" election and we'll hear it for years to come.I am positive those supporting B.O., especially Blacks, feel he is entitled to the position…kind of a reparation for all the evil, we Whites have perpetrated on the Black race. It is refreshing hearing of Black people that have clarity and honesty (i.e. Michael Steele comes to mind), along with a few liberals: B.O. doesn't have the qualifications to be our next POTUS. He is not even qualified to be a mayor, considering his abysmal failure as "community organizer." I am incensed everytime I hear someone poo-pooing Sarah Palin successful record as coouncilwoman, mayor and governor of the state of AK, while this liberal has nothing to stand on.To topi it comparing B.O. to Jesus? Palin to Pilate? There is plenty wrong with these people! Some woman, a reporter, whose name I don't recall and don't care, last night in the forum at Columbia University (infamous for inviting Abnadija… and refusing ROTC) asked first McCain and then Obama about Palin deriding the latter for being a community organizer. She completely ignored, that Gov. Palin's remark was in direct response to Obama and cohorts attacks on her for being "simply" a mayor. Forgetting that was before she became Governor! Further, on her first interview with the press, Charlie Gibson, questioned her on whether she had experience to be President….Have they forgotten she is running for VP (yeah, I understand the implications of if something happens to McCain….) and the guy who is running for Prez on the other ticket had none, nada, zilch, BIG zero!?In any event, she has plenty of experience, common sense, grace and she loves the country.Still trying to decide whether liberals are morons, disingenuous or both. Hope they air this stuff until election day, so more sane people can see what a bunch of leftist morons they are!

Liberals absolutely are morons, and that's the best you can say about them, because those who aren't morons are evil. I'm not exaggerating. If one is aware enough to countenance the kind of garbage that they stand for and the filthy slander, libel and tactics being leveled at Sarah Palin, then he's complicit.
But Sarah is a special case… she represents an existential threat to liberalism and "feminism" The quotes around the latter signifying that there's nothing feminine about them.
About the superscum, Gibson/ABC, they deliberately distorted her comments about God/Iraq and Georgia, and tried to paint her as a nut, when her actual remarks were sensible – in the extreme."
    This is what liberals do.
ABC said in their headline that Palin might go to war with Russia.
Gibson took Palin's quote out of context and distorted it to mean almost the opposite of what she intended. Pretended to quote Palin as saying our national leaders, are sending soldiers out on a task that is from God.
    She actually said:
"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [our soldiers] out on a task that is from God."
When people wonder why I am so hard on liberals, this is why… this is their routine.
