Hopefully, The Bridge To The 21st Century Will Be Open Then

Did you see the headline today…?

WWF: Global warming to destroy 60% of Amazon by 2030

I don't get it. I mean, this might be of passing interest to investment planners, but I couldn't care less because:

A) I've never shopped there

2) With any luck, I'll be dead.

I just wish the report broke it down by year though, don't you?

And when did wrestlers become scientists, anyway?

About tedwest

A longtime veteran of comedy and political forums, I decided that I needed a more restful venue because... well... I finally hate everybody. Except my wife that is... and my ex-wife.. and... no, that's about it. I lead about as simple a life as one can, preferring activities that include anything that doesn't involve going out and seeing YOU! And I particularly enjoy what I call "Get the Bitch" movies on Lifetime. You know the ones where the intended victim finally does something so incredibly stupid that she forfeits her right to live, and from that moment on you're rooting for the stalker. Of course, it rarely works out the way you want, but when it does, the feeling you get is... well, there's nothing else like it, other than, maybe, eating chocolate chip cookies. Oh, and I'm proudly anti-wildlife, both foreign and domestic, and anti-environment - especially foreign environments. I think Howard Stern put it best when he said, "If fifty percent of the population died tomorrow, I can live with that." And I feel the same about the other fifty percent, so together, we've pretty much got it all covered.

  1. This is just a damn farce, I thought that Olivia Newton-John had saved the rainforest back in the ninties.

  2. TedWest says:

How did she do that, by keeping abreast?

  3. Jeff D says:

If global warming is doing all that, I wonder what the effect of all the Brazilians cutting down the trees will have?

  4. TedWest says:

Wasn't it only decades ago that the depletion of the rainforest the greatest concern of all? What happened? Is it all gone now?
But I think I did here something about some forest not too long ago… that drought made it greener or somethiing. The problem is that nobody knows anything about anything, but some profess to, and they want to run the world.

  5. Jeff D says:

There are articles from the seventies bemoaning what we were going to do about the great global cooling that was underway.

  6. TedWest says:

Which would explain the need to cut down the rainforest at a furious pace then?!?

  7. The Informer says:

Today we have problems that transcend national borders, we need a global regulatory body to enforce adherence to global regulations, we need world gov't ..this is what pundits and establishment media constantly harps about. global warming equals global gov't. need for a 'final solution' to all the world's enviromental concerns; and that means depopulation on a mass scale, after all we – man is the culprit…right! any volunteers for hari-kari to save mother earth. .

  8. Jeff D says:

Let go of your anger Ted. I agree with you on this point. I mentioned that merely to point out that once global warming passes, we'll hear about some other pending world-wide catastrophe from the UN.
