In Praise Of The Great Michelle Malkin

Several years ago, conservatives were denouncing Chris Matthews for ambushing Michell Malkin on his show. I wasn't one of them. I decried the weakness and naiveté she displayed.

Well, times have changed such that Ms. Malkin is now the only person who both fills in for Bill O'Reilly and is watchable. She's so watchable in fact that other than O'Reilly himself, there's no one who does this sort of thing better than she.

Malkin still lacks the confrontational strength of her mentor, but she's getting better all the time, and she is utterly lacking in that insecure arrogance O'Reilly exudes, not to mention that she appears to be strangely indifferent to hearing herself talk.

And Michelle Malkin is a true conservative which is to say that she leaves no doubt where she's coming from, and she doesn't take gratuitous shots at her fellow conservative in the interest of propping up that insidious "fair and balanced" Fox mantra.

I thought it would be Laura Ingraham who would become the female lead in the conservative cast, but clearly, at least to me, it's Michelle Malkin who is now the leading candidate for the role.

And she looks like a true American, doesn't she?

About tedwest

A longtime veteran of comedy and political forums, I decided that I needed a more restful venue because... well... I finally hate everybody. Except my wife that is... and my ex-wife.. and... no, that's about it. I lead about as simple a life as one can, preferring activities that include anything that doesn't involve going out and seeing YOU! And I particularly enjoy what I call "Get the Bitch" movies on Lifetime. You know the ones where the intended victim finally does something so incredibly stupid that she forfeits her right to live, and from that moment on you're rooting for the stalker. Of course, it rarely works out the way you want, but when it does, the feeling you get is... well, there's nothing else like it, other than, maybe, eating chocolate chip cookies. Oh, and I'm proudly anti-wildlife, both foreign and domestic, and anti-environment - especially foreign environments. I think Howard Stern put it best when he said, "If fifty percent of the population died tomorrow, I can live with that." And I feel the same about the other fifty percent, so together, we've pretty much got it all covered.

  1. Michelle is a very good writer with lots of spirit. I like her. She has appeared on Laura's radio show a number of times and they work well together. They would be a dynamic duo for sure. They have their ducks in a row and do not take a step backwards. Yet, they have been able to remain feminine without becoming sickening like Katie Couric.

    I absolutly adore MM.

    She's one smart cookie.

  4. Malkin's strength is that she has maintained her position as an intellectual at a think tank. She has yet to succumb to the "bright lights & Big city" mentality of using the conservative movement to make all the money possible in her " 15 minutes" of fame.
